Get alerted the day Google or AI crawlers get locked out

BotCanary re-checks your sites on a schedule. When a plugin update, firewall rule or Cloudflare toggle starts blocking crawlers, you hear about it the same day — not when traffic has already dropped.

Scheduled checks

Daily on Starter, every 6 hours on Pro, hourly on Agency.

Alerts on new problems only

Telegram (and email soon) when a finding appears that was not there before. No noise.

Cloudflare settings watch

Connect a read-only token: we spot risky AI Crawl Control and Bot Fight Mode settings.

robots.txt & sitemap

Know when a deploy ships a Disallow: / or the sitemap starts failing for Googlebot.

Plugin & firewall updates

Security plugins and hosting WAFs change defaults. We catch the side effects.

Several locations

A block in one region shows up as a finding, not as a mystery traffic dip.

Questions

Why not just watch Search Console?

Search Console data arrives with a delay and only covers Google. By the time Crawl stats show 403s, pages may already be dropping. AI crawlers are not covered at all.

Who is this for?

SEO agencies and freelancers managing client sites, in-house SEOs, and anyone running a site behind Cloudflare or a security plugin.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Checks run from outside, like a crawler would. The Cloudflare connection is optional and read-only.
